Trying to reduce interest on credit cards

Is there a certain template or email that should be used when approaching a bank to reduce credit card interest for a period of time?
Also by asking them for a reduction what implications are there for a) Asking b) Getting?

Just call or message them and ask them.

You can ask for a payment holiday which under current rules should have little impact on your files, or something more ongoing, which will appear on your files and make future borrowing more difficult.

However, a payment holiday does not mean that the interest also takes a holiday.
