British Airways: managed to get a refund

We followed a suggestion on another thread to contact British Airways via their twitter account @British_Airways. My wife followed and then Direct Messaged (DM) them and they replied really quickly and offered her a full refund. Don't call them - use Twitter.0

I received the email on Friday saying my wife and I round trip flights to Canada in August was cancelled. I called the number provided on the email: I was on hold for maybe 5 minutes; I asked for a refund which did not appear to be a problem; I received an email confirmation of the refund; I was advised that the money would be in my bank account in 22 working days. So fingers crossed 🤞0
