Sainsbury's staff get the biggest bargains!

I do this all the time and the checkout assistants always say they never get the chance to get things, they see them coming past them all the time but by the time they've finished on the tills, everything's gone! I'm amazed Sainsbury's haven't cottoned on to this yet, it must be costing them a fortune! After all, most other supermarkets don't let you have the BOGOF or whatever offer as well as the reduced price.

Until they updated their tills though, it was soooo embarrassing as it took ages to peel off all the yellow stickers and everyone in the queue behind is sighing and moaning! I try to put all the reduced stuff on first so that goes through before anyone has chance to see most of it but sometimes you get someone really slow or the stickers are difficult to get off and then you get that cold feeling that everyone is looking at you! I still do it though - can't resist a bargain! I haven't seen as much lately, think they must be getting cleverer with their sell-by dates or something as I haven't had any good bargains for ages!

Until recently Sainsbury's did let you have BOGOF and the reduction, I used to get free meat that way! They've rejigged the computers to close that loophole. I expect it's a matter of time before they shut all such loopholes.

I occasionally manage to have a whole basket with virtually all Mellow Yellows in it, I'm sure staff and customers hate me when I hold up the queue but I've developed a thick skin ;)

Reminds me - my son's speech therapist was talking about shopping with him, he launched into a description of Mellow Yellows and BOGOFs! I've trained him well :D The poor girl didn't know what to make of him, she was a bit posh.
