Hi, I was wondering what the current “real time” timeframe is for a redundancy, unpaid wages and unpaid holiday that is being paid out by the HMRC insolvency service is. I know they say 95% of claims are settled in 6 weeks but I wondered what everyone’s personal experience was?

Also what was the process once you had made a claim? Did the money just appear in your account or did you receive an email and then a payment a few days later?

The Redundancy Payments Service (RPS) helpline is closed. You will not be able to call the RPS helpline in Edinburgh.

Redundancy claims processing continues as normal, so you will still receive regular updates about your claim.

I believe you will get an email prior to payment so you know what you will receive.

I used to be known as ableandy but can't get into my old account anymore :(

Cant provide a fully accurate answer as the workload is higher now and workforces spread out. i would certainly put it at more than 6 weeks, but size of business and records makes a difference too.

I submitted on 26th February (over 7 weeks ago) and am still waiting. Chased them up on email 16th April for an update. If it has been over 6 weeks you can email them for an update. From speaking to other people they seem to be around 6 to 8 weeks at the moment. Fingers crossed they get back to me this week.
