I have just bought a canon A550 digital camera and not very clued up on memory cards can anyone give me some advice as to which is the best to buy. Any help would be grateful.

Hi there I use Memorybits online - the memory you need is SD memory heres a link below to the site for a 2GB card that should store plenty of picture for you. I ordered one a few weeks ago and it took 2 days to get to me.
