Entitlement to Bonus after Redundancy

Hi All,
I have been made redundant last week due to the current crisis we are in. In my first consultation meeting, I fought to be furloughed for the duration of the government Job Retention Scheme, which will now be the case.
Before any talk of redundancies, in early March I received my letter confirming that I achieved my 2019 targets and therefore will get 100% of my potential bonus - stating the exact amount and when it should be paid out (27th March 2020). Initially they said that bonus's will be delayed again due to COVID-19 - but I am now being told because I am being made redundant I will not be entitled to this.
Please can anyone give advice on what rights have with this,
Many Thanks,

You need to check your contract of employment, does it say "any bonus payment is purely discretionary" or similarIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I believe it is a non-contractual bonus. I would let it go - its just that I was given the confirmation in writing to achieving it - I'm not sure if that offers me any more rights?
Thanks,

It depends on the terms of your bonus and nobody else can answer that.As an example at my place of work the rules are if you are employed and not serving your notice on a certain date then you are eligible to receive the bonus. It doesn’t matter if you’re dismissed, made redundant, resigned before the bonus is paid as long as you are not under notice on a certain date.Nobody else can tell you what the rules of your bonus scheme are.0
