Credit searches for me showing on my partners score..

Options
Good afternoon!

I have recently applied for a credit card (in Febuary) and was successful and all is going okay. However, today my SO has looked at his credit score and it shows that a hard credit search from HSBC (where my card is from) was done on him also and showing on his score. Is this what normally happens? He has has credit before but it has never shown on my score.
A bit of a newbie to this, so thank you for your patience!

If your finances are linked in any way then, effectively, searching one means searching the other too. Your credit file (not score!) will show if there is a link or not - take a look. These are usually caused by holding joint products such as current accounts, mortgages and loans (but not credit cards)
