Furlough, childcare and critical workers

My husband is working from home designing a care home and a large warehouse. Can he be made to look after my 3yr old as well as work if my company refuse me furlough

    He can't be made to but his employer would take a very dim view if he is not putting in his contracted hours and generating the output while working from home.
    Employer could decide to bring him into the workplace to get their moneys worth.
