Moving Into A House With No Flooring

We completed on a house back in February and managed to get the kitchen, bathrooms and fitted wardrobes done before the lockdown but our flooring (Karndean downstairs and fitted carpets upstairs) have been delayed indefinitely because the flooring company are closed due to the lockdown.
Rather than paying rent on the place we are renting for any longer than we have to and also due to the double council tax and utilities bill we will have if we don't move in, we've decided to move in anyway at the end of April when our rental contract ends.
My question is, how much of a major hassle will it be having fitted carpets and Kardean floors laid once our furniture is in? The flooring company say that they are unable to move furniture but also that they can 'work around' the fact that we've had to move in.
Are we doing the right thing by moving in? The extra costs of not moving in are in the region of £1500 a month.

Everything will need moving around where they are fitting so you will usually need to be around on the day but as long as you are able to mofe them then its easily possible.
They replace carpets/ flooring in furnished houses all of the time
When they replaced in mine I moved everything into a couple of rooms ( 1 up, 1 down) and they did these rooms last, moving things out as they finished rooms

Thanks. We do have access to a garage so we would be able to put a lot of stuff in there. I suppose I just want reassurance that we're doing the right thing. It wasn't supposed to be like this. In my head it all went smoothly.. LOL"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Oh and the Karndean fitting will take at least two, possibly three days."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

It'll be fine.
You might find that although the official company line is that they won't move things for you, on the day they might give you a hand to speed things up. I'd still plan to have two people there to move things on the days they come, but it won't be as bad as you imagine. Just leave all the fussy little ornaments in the garage if you can, so you don't need to worry about them.1 -
Brilliant!
Now just need to find a removal van..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Putting as much in the garage the day before will make it much easier on the day but don't worry, they will be used to doing things in furnished houses so will know the easiest way on the day1
