Mortgage Payment Holiday Likelihood

Hi, my wife and I work for the same company. Neither of us have been furloughed as yet, however there is a high chance she will be soon. I have also been asked to take 9 days unpaid, and while not compulsory, they are asking me to sign an agreement if I agree to. This works out better for me financially than being furloughed.
My question is if i voluntarily accept this, will I still be able to apply for a mortgage payment holiday? All payments are up to do date, no arrears.
Thanks in advance.

My sister is a self employed childminder whose income has dropped to zero because she has been forced to close. She was still eligible for the 3 month payment break so on the face it I can’t see why not.

I’m with HSBC. It’s an online form. Pretty simple they don’t ask for any real financial details just confirmation you have read the T&C’s before you go ahead.

You don't need to prove any reduction in income, if you want to apply for it you can.

Yep, I'm with HSBC and the criteria was that I am or will be financially affected by Covid19 - you sign to declare this.  My work has put us "voluntarily" on 80% pay so whilst I could just about still make my mortgage payment, it would make things pretty tight.
