Disneyworld Tickets - Help

hello,
i am looking for some advice around some tickets purchased for Disneyworld
we were due to travel to Orlando Florida on the 29th April for 15 nights.
we booked everything separately for the trip so are not covered by any travel association. We have managed to obtain refunds for almost everything as the flights were cancelled and we had a refundable booking for the hotels.
my only concern is our tickets for Disney World. We have yet to reach out to the ticket seller yet but my understanding is that if Disneyworld is closed on the dates that we should have been there we would be entitled to a refund? we booked 2 week "2020" tickets which means they can be used for the duration of 2 weeks up to the 31st December but our invoice states that our arrival date is 1st May.
They are currently offering extension to the tickets through to June 2021 but my wife is pregnant and is due in October so we would not be able to make use of the tickets.
our travel insurance does not cover Pandemics. i just wanted to understand my rights to a refund or if there was an alternative way of recouping our money via a section75 or MCOL as the tickets we purchased are not going to be used as the theme park is closed for our dates
Any help would be appreciated!
thanks

Credit card route might not work because you are being offered an alternative, it just doesn't suit you. If the seller is US-based then I don't think MCOL applies. If they're UK-based then you might run into the same difficulty as the credit card route.
If you get no movement from the seller on a refund, try working with them to see if you can extend the tickets much further into the future.0 -
Hi we are in a similar position but we used the Disney site to buy the tickets. They have just extended the ticket dates until December 2020 and it says on their web site if not used we can use the money to buy tickets for a future date. Not sure if we will ever get over there again. I had travel insurance in place with Nationwide so I am not sure if they will cover it? I guess once things calm down we can try and see if we can get any money back from Nationwide...Good luck with your dilemma and please pots back if you make any progress.0
