Please help - refund for golf break?

Hi, I've got a 5 night holiday booked to Portugal in May - the company I have booked with have emailed me to say they are now at a point where they can offer for us to move our holiday to a later date (no mention of it being cancelled), there are 4 of us going and we would rather have a refund as we don't know what's going to happen - would it be best to wait until they tell us it has to be cancelled or is it ok now for me to ask for a refund? I'm worried if I jump the gun and they know I'd rather have my money back this might make any refund claim invalid as they haven't officially cancelled it yet? My flights haven't been cancelled yet either!
Also, if I managed to get a refund it would go back onto my Halifax credit card which doesn't have a money transfer option
would I be charged an extortionate amount to withdraw the cash to give back to my friends?
Thank you in advance!

You are almost certainly going to be offered either a voucher or a rebooking ( paying any difference in price ) and not a refund to your cardEx forum ambassador

I'd wait until they cancel and see what options they give you. If you cancel now, you'll lose your deposit.
When it comes to refunding your friends, you could always use the credit balance on the card to pay for stuff like shopping, etc until it's spent, then refund your friends from the account you'd normally use to buy those things.0 -
I received a refund from a hotel booked via booking.com. One phone call to Credit Card company got money back in my current account in a couple of days. I have done this on previous occasions. There is no way to do it on line, but a call should sort it.
