Are surveyors still surveying - I need a Homebuyers report?

Hi All,
Short Version
I need to exchange and complete by the 1st June, my bank is instructing a Surveyor but doesn't believe they can currently visit a property with the restrictions in place. Anyone know if that is the case? The property is occupied.
Long Version
I sold my house at the start of January and told my buyers I need a lot of time to find something. We agreed a completion date of 1st June and an exchange date of 1st March so that if needed I could sign up for a rental property. We exchanged on the 1st March as agreed and a few weeks later I finally found somewhere to buy. The homeowners of my property i am buying are moving to an empty property. Its critical I complete on the 1st June on the new property otherwise I would be homeless, i have already exchanged on my property with a completion date of 1st June set in stone! Happy for any advice
Thanks

You don't need to live in somewhere you own, so it's a bit extreme to say you would be homeless, surely? As far as I can see from other threads here, no, surveyors aren't carrying out surveys just now.

Maybe a bit extreme saying homeless, but I would have to rent somewhere which would probably need a 6 month tenancy which would affect the property i was aiming to buy. Plus we are a family of 5 with a baby so its not easy to move at short notice!davidmcn said:You don't need to live in somewhere you own, so it's a bit extreme to say you would be homeless, surely? Here's the advice from the Government re your question:
Surveyors
Surveyors should not expect to carry out non-urgent surveys in homes where people are in residence, and no inspections should take place if any person in the property is showing symptoms, self-isolating or being shielded.
It may be possible to carry out some of your work online and also carry out urgent surveys on empty properties, or those where the occupants are out of the property or following guidance to stay at home and away from others.
