Lender in administration can the data on credit report be removed?

If a pay day loan company has gone into administration, can negative data be removed immediately from my credit file. Is there legislation surrounding this and can I ask the credit references agencies to remove the data. For example defaults or CCJ or any association with the lending organisation? I also have irresponsible lending claims against them currently in consideration.

    No, it will stay there.

If you were to have a successful complaint upheld by the administrators, it could potentially be amended.

The facts have to stay. That is the point of a credit history.

No just means you will now owe the administrators
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Not sure you can, I had a Satsuma online loan, in the last few days, I have become notified as it's Provident reporting on the closure, when to me that is a totally different brand/arm and worry I'll now be considered to have had a doorstep/home loan when that wouldn't be totally correct.
Sure the credit card under them doesn't report as Provident.
