Photinias want to be big shrubs. You'll be constantly pruning trying to keep them to a relatively small ball.britishboy said:Thanks people, yes they are definately Red Robins (Photinia). I have seen dwarf photinia 'little red robin' so that might be a good idea if you don't want a huge one. Also I've seen variegated photinia which looks great and should be slower growing as well.
