I am interested to know of anyone elses experiences with the above Online Travel company in the light of experiences. My situation is that I booked a return flight from Manchester to Buenos Aires in December for flight out on 22 January and return from Buenos Aires on Monday 30 March. The outward flight was fine but on Friday13 March I was informed that Argentina was closing its borders from midnight on Monday 16 March and the FCO was advising travellers to return home. I contacted the Airline who told me to get in touch with Travel Up. Unsurprisingly, I couldn't get through on phone so I emailed them marking it URGENT. No response. I sent a second email on Saturday 14th again marking it URGENT. No response. I had no other option then but to book alternative flights at my own expense. The BA to Manchester flight cost over £600.

On getting home, I then received a generic email from CEO Ali Shah on 20 March in which he stated that they were prioritising queries by departure date and confirming that email was the best method of contacting TravelUp so I again emailed that day. That was now 2 weeks ago and still no word. They have now suspended phone lines and are advising to use a Contact Form. When I completed this and tried to send it, it just showed a lot of hieroglyphics and I don't think it has got through.

I am understandably pretty unimpressed with this company as its the first time I have come across them.

Has anyone any dealings with them, in particular in relation to Coronavirus issue ?

    Sounds like an insurance claim for curtailment/repatriation to me.  

    You say it's the first time you have come across Travelup - how did you come to choose them then?

    Thanks, sorry what I should have said was when I booked my flights they were a new name to me..dont think I will be booking with them again..
