Redundancy policy cancelled

Hello, I've just received a letter from Scottish Provident, they're going cancel my redundancy insurance which I've been paying into for 7 years. The insurer is well aware, that a Honda worker and I will belated off next year in July. The policy will end exactly a year before I'm layed off. What are my rights? This action seems very deliberate.
Kind regards Donna Gale
