Oh I have had a rubbish week. My car broke down and its in the garage. It needs a new shock absorber and brakes - i don't know how much yet. OH got a flat and needed two new tyres, manic at work, got an exam next week that I haven't revised for and today I am poorly again!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Greetings all -
I've had the dreaded lurgy this week, which has culled my cycling to work habit. Three train journeys Croydon <-> London Bridge = £21.60
But keeping cheap and cheerful as I can despite being dizzy and cream-crackered. I've avoided the vomiting version that my daughter had but I've been woozy at work for sure. Which has led to daydreaming about my 1st super balance transfer coming soon.

Well, the Chrimbo cake is in the oven, I've washed up, Mr T's was even more manic than a Saturday, some of the wrapping is done......but spare bed still not made up, laundry not put away, table covered in wrapping paper / ribbon / bows / sticky tape, tea not started (beef in beer & parsnip mash - yummy!).......will just have a quick browse, then go & carry on....0

never joined in the daily chat yet but might as well since i am lurking so much on here anyway.....
I hate not having a job and not speaking to another person all day!!
DD just came home, ate her lunch and went out swimming with her mates. Wouldnt have minded so much but really wanted company LOL.
Spend so far is quite ridiculous and its all for DD so far. swimming money, money for school, I am at college tomorrow so money for her for bus fares/lunch as is being babysat by a friend. Then she reminded me she is meant to be going for icecream after youth club tonight!! £10 just like that and I havent even left the house.
Do have a couple of items on ebay and so far have bids up to £21.50 which is a start.
Had to request funds from my isa (my whole savings of £390!!) so am heading to bank shortly to go and pay that in. Then I have to transfer it to my cap account. Still its all about hitting the debt isnt it.
Wish it would stop raining...only trousers i have clean are too long and if i walk to shops rather than drive (save petrol) then the water will soak up them and i will have to change into my pjs when i get home LMAO
On a positive note, have signed up for about a hundred freebie samples of creams and stuff. Poor postman never delivered till 12.50 today as it was....he's going to want to kill me by next week!!DFW 228 LONG H 68

Afternoon all, been to work, was lame. Glad I wasn't in there this afternoon, I think it's just occurred to people to start Christmas shopping today as they've probably been paid.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Tesco was manic today, I know friday's are usually busy but this was like christmas eve. I only needed some milk and a few bits for the weekend, it took me 20 mins to get out of the car park.
Perhaps everyone is doing their christmas shopping todayI wish they'd flippin warn me so I could stay out of their way.

Good thing about working nights is that I can do my shopping on the way home when there is at least a chance of getting a couple of pints of milk and some bread.
Why do people stock up on bread and milk. Do we have a large influx of hedgehogs in december who need feeding

Morning everyone,
I've got both daughters home from school today, occasional day or something, honestly these kids never seem to be in school. I'm sure we didn't have all of these random days off when I was a kid.
No, the salt-mines were really shabby about time off.Bad news, my office trial has run out and I can't get it to accept another one, I've been rolling these trials for about a year so I didn't have to buy it. I use excel all of the time, in fact I use all of the office things on a constant basis, I just don't want to pay for it, not this month anyway. I'm trying so hard to not spend anything at the moment other than essentials.
And here is another plug for http://www.openoffice.org - you can have it on your machine at the same time as excel so nothing lost if you don't like it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
