Highest credit limits

Virgin 12.5k
Hfax was my first and I've had almost 15 years. Perfect payment history . I've also been stupid and paid literally thousands in interest so banks practically fall over themselves to give me credit. Its actually not as good a place as it sounds ... It made me complacent.0 -
My highest limit is £12K, and my wife is £24K. Both of these are with Tesco, as over the years we have used 0%, nil fee balance transfers, paid the cards off just before incentive period ends, open a new Tesco card and transfer the available credit limit across from the old card and close the old card. Transfer a balance to the new card, and note to repeat a year later. So over time the credit limit keeps increasing.I have one other card at 10K limit (also for 0% balance transfer), and a few lower limit cards which I use for normal spending (cashback) and overseas transactions. I'd usually have a lot more cards with much higher limits, but I have just transferred a lot of balances over to wife's cards and closed cards. In addition to the £24K card, my wife has 5 cards with limits between £9-£12K which is what we seem to typically be offered on new card applications, all of which are 0%, no fee balance transfer with maximum balance transfers made. In about 6-9 months the position will swing the other way, as I open several 0%, no fee balance transfer cards and move the balances from my wife's cards across to mine.0

When I used to work for a credit card company our top end credit limits were 25k and I saw a few 25k BT’s.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Mrs_Ryan what does BT's mean? I spoke to Aqua, they told me that you need to stay within the 90percent usage or so (leaving just 10 percent to spend). They said if below 50 percent they bring it down. Tescos is one of the next ones I want to apply for and MBNA :-)

I want to refurbish only with credit, then pay the credit off with rental income. It isn't something i'd recommend though, I can get away with it because I can do every trade almost :-) People think it is easy, it isn't.pjread said:You've found a conveyancer who'll take credit card payment for property purchase funds? Crikey, think of the cashback/reward points if that's without a fee....

I just got it a few months back to replace my Tandem card. After Tandem changed their T&Cs Aqua was the only card on the market that offered both 0.5% cash back on all purchases, and had no fees when you use it abroad. However the maximum starting credit limit is £1,2000.moneywow1 said:

I had an Aqua card years ago when they were paying 3% cashback on all spend, and it had a £500 credit limit. Pain in the bum, as I had to keep paying it off almost weekly so I could continue spending.gjpowen said:
