I am looking at buying a new pair of in Ear wireless headphone. I have beats solo 3 wireless which are great with my Ipod Classic and for use at home,
but feel they are too big for the GYM or not useful when going out when not using ipod..
What would you guys recommend out of
BeatsX
Power Beats
Bose SoundSport
Apple Airpods
need something with good Sound Quality/Easy to use with Macbook Pro/Iphone XS

The Bose SoundSport have an incredible ability to cling to your ear and stay there without feeling like they are "stuck/plugged" in your ear. They feel very light and don't pull or drag down on your ear.
Also, the design allows important noises around you to still be heard, so I find this is a safety issue and help you still feel a part of the surroundings. You aren't isolated in a bubble like other earphones that block all noise. Unless you only use them in your bedroom then I think that is a big thing people need to consider.
The fact they sit sort of outside your ear and don't plug inside the ear canal means your ear does not get hot or itchy and breathes nicely without getting sweaty.
Finally, the sound that comes out of these little things are just great. All ranges, the bass, mid and high are all very true to the source.
The only thing I notice that I don't really like is the cord does resonate a lot. When you move around the cord rubs on your clothing and this echos in your ear more than others I have tried. It's annoying at start but you do gets used to that after using it for a while.
I have used these since 2013, when the SoundSport predecessor was the SIE2. I've lost them couple of times and always bought the direct replacement again (not cheap). I also still have an old SIE2 which is showing some wear around the cable joins and the shielding wire is exposed but they are still working fine. I consider this fairly durable and therefore with reasonable care will last you many years.
I am rough with mine. I bundle and store them in my jacket pocket. They do tangle easily compared to others but the trade-off compared to tangle free cables is the cable is noticeably light.
They have good water-proofing against sweat as they are specifically purpose-designed as a sports earphone. I use them normally in rain and they are not affected.0 -
my preference is something that is light (In ear preferably) and easy to use/wear when at the gym etc with good battery life0
