Painting Stanley wardrobe doors.

One of my bedrooms has fitted Stanley sliding wardrobe doors & being in a south facing room, they have yellowed a bit over time, so I'd like to paint them. After a bit of online research it seems that using a primer such as Dulux Difficult Surface primer would be the ideal base for the job, but wondering if anybody else has painted wardrobe doors of this type?
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
