Agency worker

I was told over the phone on Saturday 4th April that I was no longer needed by my agency as the company I had been working at closed its doors and suspended work until further notice. I was already self isolating as I am a vulnerable person and the company had agreed to pay 100% of my wage until furlough was clarified in more detail.
As far as I am aware all permanent staff have been furloughed and the agency laid off. There was an option for agency staff to move over to other contracts however there is very little work to go around at the moment and I myself need to self isolate til mid June anyway.
Coincidentally we were sent an email in the week saying that the company had agreed that they would be paying parity when all this blows over something that had been the subject of several meetings prior to the outbreak. I have worked for the agency since last July on the same contract and would have most likely have still been working there now if the virus had not come into play.
Is furlough a loan to to companies that they later pay back and why doesn't the company or agency apply to keep me on the books
Can anyone tell me if I have any right to fight back with or what I am entitled to please
