Clock/Oven not working

I hope someone can help. I’ve got a 90cm belling range cooker, which I moved to do a bit of diy. When I put it back in place and turned it on the digital clock flashes constantly with a capital A in top left hand corner and unfortunately the oven will not work until the clock is operating. I have looked on various forums and tried resetting the clock by keeping my finger on the + sign without any joy, has anyone got any other ideas???

Have you two buttons marked + and -, if so, press and hold them BOTH and you will be able to set the clock,  Oven should then work normally.
  • Thanks for replying, I have tried this but it does not do anything

Press the + button, keep it pressed
Then press the - button, keep it pressed
Let both go after a few seconds
The display should start flashing ' '
    Then set the time
Step away and leave it for about 30 seconds

    According to a Google search.

  • Hi,
have you tried the middle button, then use the +/- to set time.

    I agree with frugalmacdugal

Normally press the "bell" button for countdown timer, then for setting oven start/stop time then for 'clock' ...  using +/- to adjust.  After a power cut my equivalent button first press goes direct to setting the clock... we had a power cut earlier today!

  • Thanks for all suggestions, but no luck unfortunately, may need to get someone out to have a look at it 👍

What's the model number? You can then Google for the instruction manual.

See if it's had a glitch. Turn it off for a minute, then back on again and retry the above suggestions.

You have appeared to have tried all. You can phone or email belling customer services.

What I do if things do not work is to turn off wait a while and then try again. Perhaps trying the plus button 7 second suggestion again as soon as power is supplied.

Is grill still working as that does not need clock?
