Virgin Credit Card Payments

Hi,
I had a bit of a problem with Virgin Credit Card today so thought I'd share it.
Basically I transferred a balance to Virgin Credit Card at the end of September.
I did not have to pay anything until I received my first statement on the 6th November but as soon as I transferred my balance I made a payment (well over what the minimum would be).
However, I was charged a late fee because I paid outside of the 6th-23rd Nov window. So the payment that I made before the 6th was seen as an additional payment and did not go towards the amount that was due.
Is it me or is this not the most ridiculous thing you have heard. I have never experienced this with any other CC company before.
My worry is that the 0% on BT's has been removed but I have been reassured by the CS agent that it will remain intact. I have my doubts so took his name etc.
Any thoughts?

The only way you will not have experienced this before is if you completely cleared the balance before the statement was produced.
I'm not aware of any other cards where this does not happen. Perhaps you could list all your other providers where this has not happened?0 -
Ok but what happened to being a good customer and paying earlier? As it was the first month of the card I thought the fact that I paid on the 31st October ahead of the 6th would be sufficient.
What happens when people are paid outside of this window? I'm sorry but I've never experienced this anywhere else and I've had natwest, Cap1, Halifax CC's.0
