urgent advice needed please dont judge im heartbroken as it is

hi everyone im new here been browsing as a none member for a while though basically my partner has lost his job we had to self isolate and he was a o hour contract he was told to come in or be sacked he said he couldnt and now there not offering him in any work hes looking for more work. my issue is ive no food in my house or nappies i no this sounds awful he was sacked 2 weeks ago so we used up what food and money we have had since then he was weekly paid where can we get help we would usually pawn something but now thats not an option as its all closed .ive held of posting as im so scared ill be judged but really need some advice im in the northwest and we have no family too ask its just us and our sons .. im really worried on what to do now we was already in receipt of universal credit and are due a payment of them on the 21st last month we got 0 due to wages this month shoukd be full uc payment we did ring and ask for help but there was no advances available or help for us .
i have seen my council will give a food voucher but my oldest is asd waiting on dla decision at the mo  

any advice or ideas were we can go for help please dont judge i feel like the worst mum in the world right now xx

Have you been given a food voucher? What reason did they give for refusing the budgeting advance? Do you have an outstanding budgeting advance loan that you haven't paid back or is it because you haven't been claiming UC for at least 6 months?

On lovely, I'm sorry to hear this, must be awful. 
First, take a breath. 
Second, options...Have you looked into local food banks? Often Churches or Community centres do them, find out if there is one near you. 
Have you applied for the Council food voucher? I  don't see why a possible future DLA payment should be a problem. It's worth talking to them anyway as they may be able to refer you somewhere else. 
Any local friends that might be able to help you out? There is a massive community effort in my area to support people, hopefully in yours to. 
Any overdraft or credit facility available to use/ negotiate? Not ideal I know, but may tide you over. 
Is he looking for work? Supermarkets are crying out for people. 
I know it's not a comfort, but you will not be the only family in this position because of this. It's entirely out of your control, no judgement here.

hi the budgeting advance was refused due to him earning more than £3000 in 6 months so we are not elegible other than that we do not owe them a penny but stil no help from them 
we wasnt offered a food voucher but i will look in to this monday as ive googled and no food banks seem to be open until then 
sounds daft but ive really got no one just us in our own little bubble and no credit my bank cant offfer me an overdraft as i only have a basic account yes hes looking for work luckily hes always worked warehouse so used to it hes got a few interviews next week so im hoping he gets something i jut felt like i was going to explode and needed to get it out somewhere thanks for the replys ill look at churches see if any is open xx

Community hubs have been set up throughout the country within the last week by local councils in conjunction with other organisations and volunteers.

Try and find your local one and contact them, they may be able to offer something practical plus advice. Start be looking on your local councils website.

I’m so sorry of your situation, are you housing association or council property by any chance as they can law referrals to schemes that are appropriate on your behalf.

Please also contact your local council to enquire about council tax reductions that they may be offering at the moment. This is a temporary albeit very worrying situation, it will get better.

Do you have any food left at all. Even if it seems minimal someone may be able to suggest what you could make with anything you have left. If you are stuck for nappies it may be worth putting a wanted post on your local freecycle. On my local one most things have stopped but there are the occasional posts for things that may be useful / people may need urgently and I have seen people offering nappies especially when their kids have grown out of a size.

I'm sorry you are in such an unhappy situation, it sounds a very lonely place to be I can only second the advice to approach local community help schemes, food banks, church groups etc. I'm sure that no-one there will judge you, I guess they must hear similar stories all the time.

hey sorry for the long responses ive been trying to sort something out yes im council house our offices are shut but im going to ring where i can on monday  as i believe there still on the phones just no public can go in the building .thanks for all the advice everyone its really appreciated i was so scared to post .no i currently have no food left used the last bread not long ago but only got to wait until monday and hopefully ill be able to get sorted .there is a few local things set up but you still need to pay for the food and i dont have the funds right now x

Owing to the current situation, there are local groups around here, who are using the shop surplus and taking it to needy families.

So post up and ask, yes it takes guts to do it, but there are people out there who will help, even if it is a couple of cans of soup  / bread / cereals.

Local churches etc are monitoring the local pages and have an army of volunteers out there to help, so please try, all foc
