How to find out information on a financial business, which no longer at premises

If I wanted to trackdown a financial company, for a financial claim, which operated out of a certain premises in past, but now moved (probably dissolved), how would I go about that, would companies house have that info?

How do you propose to make a "financial claim" against a company which is no longer trading?  What is the basis of this "claim"?

If the company are no longer trading, you cannot complain to them.  It also means you do not have access to the financial ombudsman service.   There is the potential for the financial services compensation scheme but the firm itself must have been regulated at point of sale and the transaction itself must have been a regulated activity.

What area of business is this? (investments, insurance, mortgages etc)
What was the date of the transaction that you are looking at (FSCS protection was staggered over dates depending on the area)
What is your complaint and what evidence do you have to support your allegations? (as firm no longer exists, your evidence will be important)
