Furlough with savings

Potentially a stupid question. Is furlough classed as Universial Credit?
I live with my parents, who go over the £16,000 savings threshold.

I work in non-essential retail, so I’m not currently working although the company are still paying my wages for April. I suspect I will be furloughed May onwards. Am I right in thinking I will be ineligible for furlough payments?

I’m aware there will be people in a much worse predicament than myself, but would like to plan ahead and know for sure what I’m dealing with.

Being paid whilst on furlough is NOT Universal Credit.  It is still wages just not as much as usual.
However you may be eligible to claim Universal Credit in addition whilst on furlough.
Your parents' savings have no relevance to any Universal Credit claim you may make for yourself.

Use a benefit calculator to see if you have any UC entitlement https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators

If you are a single person aged 25 or over with no children and living with your parents you will not have any UC entitlement if your net wages each month are over £650/month.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
