This has happened to me once before except I had forgotten until now........has anyone else been scammed by Amazon? Now that they are not answering their phones there is no recourse by third party sellers on amazon. This happened to me once before and I was only able to resolve the issue by speaking to a customer service representative. After purchasing an Apple TV for £199 I received an Apple TV remote worth £15 (not the Apple TV I ordered and paid for). The usual route on my account order is the option *returns and refunds - but I cannot return the Apple TV remote without agreeing that they can deduct another £199 from my CC if it is not the original item - except I never received the original item?! There is also NO option to select * problem with order. I am absolutely livid and at a loss to know what to do, particularly during this climate where most organisations who are not providing customer service support. Who do I contact? Do I contact trading standards and where? Who knows when amazon will resume customer services, if it's 6 months time what do customers do about the £200 that they've lost in the meantime?

what reviews were there on the third party seller? what response has there been from the third party?
it is possible this was a genuine human error rather than a scam0 -
