  • Thanks both. It was certainly nerve wracking, but worked out ok....tho I did need to use some purple shampoo to address brassiness . I do prefer the multi tone of highlights however, but we shall see, doing my own has saved me a small fortune AND it behaves better now it’s a bit longer too.

    I'm another that has highlights regularly at the hairdresser. I've managed through lockdown using John Freida lightening spray roughly once a week. I only spray it along a middle parting and my hairline at the front then comb through before blow drying. It seems to lighten the highlighted parts IYSWIM. Also, I've always found the sun lightens my hair in the summer anyway so all those enforced walks outdoors have helped. :wink:
