First time balance transfer help

Hi

I'm new to balance transfers and after checking my eligibility on here, I'm a little disappointed and worried about my options so helping someone knowledgeable can help.

I have £1500 on a barclaycard which the 0% interest runs out in a few weeks, my credit score is good, I've never missed payments but haven't been able to pay it off due to moving house & using it for furniture. I have £100 overdraft on my current account I've been with for 14 years (NatWest) and also have a loan with them which I've never missed payments on.

According to the eligibility calculator on here, I can only get credit building cards with short 0% term and 3% fee. I don't get why I'm not pre approved for the NatWest 0% being an existing customer or one of the other decent ones?? Am I missing something here?

I am confused what to for the best - try my luck by going direct to NatWest or applying for one through here but only get 6 months 0% & pay a fee and have to do this all over again in 6 months. Would u be able to request extention of the 0% with barclaycard? Is this a thing?

As you can tell, I really am a newbie to all this and I'm kicking myself for not trying to transfer before coronavirus hit.
Can anyone give any advice? Thanks

My wife said she got an email in the last couple of days about an  month automatic three (I think) month extension to her 0% deal.

She's not here for me to double check, but it certainly would be worth asking I'd have thought.

Unfortunately, with a low level balance you're not able to clear, plus a loan, you're probably looking a little risky in these days of tightened lending criteria.  If you're using your OD, get out of that ASAP. The credit score you've been given by the CRA doesn't take into account these risk factors, so is unfortunately meaningless.

Do to the DFW boards before you do anything else and fill out an SoA. See where your money is going and they'll help you find the best solution.
