in Credit cards
I set up a direct debit in the beginning of March to pay off my credit card in full with HSBC.
Today was the last day to pay it off and I see the money was taken from my account saying "First payment" but when I go to my credit card statement, the credit from the last statement hasn't been cleared.
Also when I checked the DD details, the customer reference has the first 8 digits as the credit card number, but the last 8 are different.
I am worried that the payment went somewhere else? Or is it going to show up tomorrow?

DD will be account no, not card number.
If taken from bank account today. Then it might show tommorow on credit card or it might not till monday/tuesday.
What you should notice sooner, is you available funds have increased in line with the payment amount made.Life in the slow lane1
