Which FTSE 100/250 companies are trading at bargain prices and not likely to go bust?

Hi all
I think there are some real bargains to be had at the moment. But the question is, which companies!? Im curious to hear what other more knowledgeable folk on these forums have to say. For example, IAG arent likely to go bust are they? Or perhaps theyll get bailed-out if there was a chance theyd go bust? Admittedly, it may take years for them to get back to the levels they were trading at a few months ago, and they could drop a lot lower over the coming months. Would you say now is a good time to buy?
I dont have the risk appetite to buy into smaller companies, but the blue chips look a lot safer.
Thanks

I wouldn't buy anything right now except for food companies and supermarkets; maybe utilities and telcos. The rest is going down.

Not saying now is the time to buy but looking years ahead I'll start with Next. A company well placed on the high street and online. A clothing retailer with general appeal and nothing like M&S. The share price is in half in recent months and even with 300p EPS would only be on a P/E of 11. Latest earnings came in at 435p EPS.

Everybody is seeking the latest unicorns. Is it churlish of me to point out that most of what has just gone down we're the fashionable unicorns only a few weeks back.

The collective wisdom regarding the risk versus reward of holding the company is already reflected in the share price. I don't think you'll get a better idea from a smaller cohort than it's current shareholders."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius2

Well run smaller companies can respond quicker once the economy restarts. There's many niche companies that have huge potential.1
