Redundancy pay if company goes bust!?

I'm on 2 months Garden leave after being made redundant. I have to wait for two monthly salaries the last of which gets paid on 27th May.
The problem is I suspect the company will go bust before I get paid, and I suspect the CEO is winding things down and trying to recover as much money as he can from accounts receivables before shutting it down.
My question is, would I still be able to claim my two months if this does happen? I've read somewhere that redundancy payments in the case of insolvency are claimable from the government but just wanted to be sure what could happen here...
Thanks in advance for any advice!

statutory redundancy pay is claimable from the governement, plus any pay in-lieu of notice and holiday duebut it will be capped at the statutory levels so may be less than you'd get from your employer. Also you'd be expected to claim benefits ASAP (but not in your paid notice period).I went through this some time ago (1997) and back then the DTI were very keen you got what you could from DWP (benefits) as it's different budgets. That was some time ago but I expect it's the same, so don't delay in claiming JSA and anything else you are entitled to as soon as you are informed about insolvency. It will not be super quick especially now. It's not super quick normally but there will be more staff off sick and more claims going through right now.0
