HomeServe Policy On an old Address

Hi, Just checking through accounts and we have realised that we are still paying for a HomeServe Boiler cover on an address we no longer live at. We are sure we notified them but cannot prove this. Can we get a refund if we prove that we no longer live at that address which was covered?? HomeServe are saying they can only cancel the policy from now with no refund.

There is no reason for them to give you a refund unless you took it out again.   i is also quite common that they would have provided services as your new address even though they had your old one.

Which is the correct position. It's your own responsibility to keep such utilities, banks etc fully updated with any changes of address. Only if you have the same cover additionally at the new address are you going to get any refund and even that would be goodwill.

You might be better off simply transferring the cover to your new address (at which you have likely been covered in any case).
