Hi, If you are making token payments, and you miss a payment, does it impact your credit file? Say even if the default is 3k, 2.5 years old, with a token payment missed only?

Why don't you write to the creditor, advising them that you need to miss a single payment, asking for forbearance during the current (coronavirus) crisis...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I just reduced the token payment and was curious, token payments suit me :-) even if £1. It means I can just forget them until a settlement is reached.0

Did you ask to reduce the token payment and get it agreed?0

Makes no difference what you do, the damage has already been done by not paying the contractual payments, so anything you do now won`t affect your file in any way, shape or form, as the account is either already defaulted, or marked as late payment.
Token payments may be marked as AP, arrangement to pay, or not, makes no difference.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
