Interested in the Vanguard SIPP myself. Could the other posters define a large amount ? I have a couple of Pensions Circa 80K each that are in 2 different places.Aegon and BT. Ive considered moving at least one of them to Vanguard, but wonder what is considered a large amount.

There are two basic ways that SIPP platforms charge you : a % of the money in the SIPP or a flat fee .
Normally a flat fee platform will work out cheaper for sums above approx £100K
For % charging platforms, Vanguard is the cheapest but you are restricted to Vanguard funds only
However in reality charging structures are more complicated than that so you need to check more carefully.and also check websites etc to see how you get on with them . Cost isn't everything.

This guy has done calculation / comparative analysis for you. He compared various different platforms available in the UK. Vanguard will only charge you 0.15% acrooss all services e.g PPP (SIPP), S&S ISA, General Investment capped at £375. So for your pension of ci 80K vanguard is defenitely cheaper than all well established UK platfoms. Moreover they offer many freebies that you sometimes do not get it from other platforms.
Vanguard is only selling its own products, so you will need to take this into consideration when moving your pension and / or when you want to invest on diffferent funds, ETFs.

If you are talking about stop loss function with a Vanguard Life strategy fund ? then this is not possible.
I am aware that Life strategy is OEICs so it is only priced / doing trading once in a day.
What about their other Funds ? such as S&P 500 UCITS ETF. You will never know that with the current unprecedented event the market could fall off, free fall while you are sleeping such as the one recently happenes in March 23

Why would the market activity over a couple of days want you to sell out when you using trackers?
And remember you are viewing with hindsight.   What makes you think that selling out would be a good move?  Selling out at that time could have been a very bad move (it was the bottom of the market in the current cycle)
