New door installed but faulty should I pay remaining balance

Hello,
Pretty new to this. I got a new UPVC door fitted about 6 weeks ago. I had to pay 20% deposit on commencement of contract.
Once the door was fitted I paid the contractors fee. Shortly after my wife realised that a panel in the door is a different colour to the rest of the door. Spoke with manager of the company who agreed and stated it was appalling and that he would have to get manufacturer up to fix it.
COVID 19 has since struck and the manager is looking me to pay 90% of outstanding bill but is unable to provide me with a completion date due to the current situation.
I do not want to pay majority of the door and lose my leverage to get the door fixed. I sent them an email explaining this.
Do I have to pay or what should I do? I understand that COVID 19 has put a spanner in the works and I don't want to see any businesses suffer but I'm afraid of being taken for a fool and then it be me who does all the chasing or left with a door that I don't want.
Many thanks

If it were me, I'd be holding off paying until the door is fixed or replaced. What is the worst they can do - Take you to court ?In the current situation, that isn't going to happen. Dig your heels in.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
Don't pay any more until the work is completed to your full satisfaction.
If the replacement panel is delayed for some time it may not match the existing panels which may have slightly changed colour with sunlight, weathering etc and you may end up needing another complete door.
Retaining that 90% gives you financial leverage to insist on that.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1 -
You might well be liable to make an additional payment despite the fault.
My agreement with a UPVC supplier gave a percentage amount (retention amount) that I could withhold if the
work was faulty.
It was; they broke two glass panels when fitting them, They actually asked for the full amount until I pointed out the retention clause.
