I have been using Hargreaves Landsdown for a long time but now looking at moving investments to Interactive Investor.
If I transfer a holding will the returns on the investment be equivalent?
Also, on Interactive Investor are the prices equivalent ie the same as H-L?

Investment performance will be the same wherever you hold your assets however HL have sometimes negotiated discounted fund management fee classes so it really depends on your investment choices.Have you checked your exact investments are available to hold on II?Obviously the platform fee strucutre will be different which will affect your overall return.0

As Alexland has mentioned, HL does have some discounts available that can mean the fund percentage fees are lower than II. However HL does also have its platform fee structure that has to be accounted for rather than the fixed price of II, which means that if you have enough money invested then II could be the cheaper place overall even if the individual fund fees are greater.
And yes, provided you are comparing the same class of fund, the prices will be the same on both platforms.0 -
Thanks for the reply. Wasn't easy to see the ii investments unless I signed up which I eventually did but found the site very difficult to manage and you can only top up through debit cards.0

You really need to research in depth the new investment platform to decide which one to switch to.
A good place to compare platforms (ofcourse do your own further research to) is: https://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
