Company refusing to honour warranty

I bought a motherboard back in 2017 from alza.co.uk, but it has developed a fault.
I filed a claim with them just before the warranty expired, but haven't been able to mail them the faulty hardware due to being in isolation. They are refusing to honour the warranty, saying that the motherboard is *now* out of warranty (and just rephrasing this answer over and over). Because I filed the RMA claim while the warranty was valid, should they not have to honour it? I checked their claims T&Cs and there's no time limit to posting faulty hardware back.
If anyone can give me any further advice or tell me if I'm SOL, I'd really appreciate it. In case it's relevant, I'm in England.
Thank you.

Bump. Any advice is very welcome!

I can't see how you're going to be able to force a Czech-based business to honour their warranty. None of the U.K. consumer rights or legal mechanisms are applicable.1
