Paying for goods by credit card

Hi I want to purchase some shutters but need to pay 50% deposit up front and order will take around 10 to 12 weeks. I’m worried if the company goes bust in between I will lose the deposit paid by credit card. Can I claim the cost back on my credit card if this happens. I want to help companies keep going but don’t want to lose hundreds of pounds.

You would have either a chargeback or section 75 claim.

Government advice is any retailer can trade online, no matter what they sell.

I would like to get them sorted as it takes 3 months from order to install but worried about them going bust
