communal drains

had a drain survey in our property we are currently in process of buying ( mid terace property )- , there are 2 drains in the back garden and for one of them it states "the communal RWP located on neighbouring property enters the chamber"
Would this out you off? Is it a potential problem if you don't get on with your neighbours? who would be responsible if it became blocked?

Rain water pipes are highly unlikely to get blocked it is foul water drains that get blocked more readily. 

Almost every house has some form of shared drainage unless they are at the head of the drainage runs. It isn't usually a problem.

Thanks for the reply. would it mean no extension could be built over it ( or covered with artificial grass )

If you wanted to build an extension then you'd have to apply to the water authority for permission. If you wanted to just cover it with artificial grass then that would be fine soloing as you accepted the risk that they may need access to the manhole & therefore would take up the grass
