Facetime wont answer calls

on facetime we have found we can make calls ok but when someone calls us the green answer but is not responsive. What could be wrong? What can we do?

Call them back is the simple answer, are you talking iphone(version) or ipad(version) or any other iDontHaveaClueMC

Ipad, it would be nice to just sort the problem out.

Not sure , can't check at this time it's a bit late to call someone on mine and get them to call me too. Not seen this effect on mine, but it is running iPados or iOS?

Also it is wifi only or wifi+cellular ?

Perhaps it my be worth deleting it and re-installing, but I am not a great fan of apple kit so perhaps someone else may come along who knows more than my SFA+0.5

Ipad mini 2, ios 12.4.6 I think. Wifi only. We havent really used facetime much but recently my dad has been using it to video call my aunty. Calling her works but when she calls us the green answering button is unresponsive and as a result it just keeps ringing.
