Artex ceilings

We have artex ceilings in the living room and one of the bedrooms (I'm guessing that's what it is in there) in our 1930s house. I'm not sure when they were put in as we only moved in a couple of years ago. Around 5 months ago I noticed that the ceiling in the bedroom was peeling in the corners but never thought much of it (it was recently painted before this) and now I've noticed that the living room ceiling looks like it's cracking too, maybe I've just realised or maybe it's just happened 🤷🏻♀️.
Is there a way I can fix this myself?

Looks like normal movement wooden lathed ceiling contracting/ expanding against brick solid walls.
Would advise small cutting groove filled with flexible filler etc. Take care some artex contained asbestos.
But my opinion only.
The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
Nothing major just different materials expanding and contracting at different rates.
Some filler and a coat of paint will sort it.
As mentioned though be careful. Depending on the age of the artex it could contain asbestos.0 -
If it predates the mid-'80s it is highly likely to be an ACM (Asbestos-Containing Material).0

Filler and 2 coats of paint is generally ok for small cracks in artex, which is low content asbestos if it even has asbestos.
In your case though, that looks like a little more than a small crack. May be best to get the advice of a pro, and get it tested. Always a good idea to know where any asbestos is in your home.
