I am currently in south Africa on vacation. I withdraw some cash from the ATM and now they blocked my account. I called them a few times and they said I have to come in personally sort the problem. I told them that I am not in the country and I urgently need my card to work. They still said they cannot help me on the phone. Very frustrating especially on vacation and I and 72 years old. My hearing is not good either

Seeing as South Africa has one of the most draconian regimes for preventing spread of corona virus I think getting cash out of an ATM is the least of your worries!0

Does the bank know anything about you that someone could not discover from your card and easily available information ?Are you known in the bank ?0
