Debit card charge

I seeem to recall that debit card charges were abolished a few years ago. Can anyone confirm please.

    can you explain your charges and the contex for them , as there "are" some charges still running

    Some still charge for overseas purchases typically 2.99% or so although most within the EU are due to be abolished soon.

    Online purchase of compost, with free delivery. Vendor quotes 25p per transaction.

    Can you also confirm that you are not using a Business debit card - they can still be charged.
