Can I ask why my daughter has had to pay another £1000 for private housing which she had to leave due to uni being closed and self isolating? Is this the norm with other students?

Did she have to leave uni? Could she have chosen to isolate in her student house? If the accommodation was no longer available to her then the contract may be frustrated. If she chose to move to her parents' home, then I doubt she could negotiate an early end to the contract.

Hi. At 32 I returned to college last year on a full time course which i'm self funding. I would usually be at college 4 days a week. 57% of the time we have theory lessons and the remaining 43% is practical. Due to the current Pandemic College is shut. Im still paying my full tuition fees. I've questioned the college over this but had no answer. I'm missing out on all my practical lesson and have had very limited theory lessons sent to me to do from home. I would say i'm missing out on at least 90% of my course, if not more while still paying the full price. Can they do this? Where do i stand as the are not fulfilling their end of the deal. Its been like this for 7 weeks and i pay monthly for my tuition. Should i be due a refund?

Why did she have to leave her house?
