Airbnb booking refusing to refund

We had to cancel our holiday, due to start 6 April, because of shutdown.  The property took full payment from my bank account last week. I cancelled a few days later when the shutdown came into force. The property are refusing to give me a refund. What can I do?

Not much if you cancelled and the property is still available.  What do the booking terms say about customer cancellations this close to arrival?

If you cancel, you forfeit whatever their terms say you forfeit.  If they cancel, you would be entitled to a refund.

Reservations for stays and Airbnb Experiences made on or before 14 March 2020, with a check-in date between 14 March 2020 and 31 May 2020, may be cancelled before check-in. This means that guests who cancel will receive, at their option, travel credit or a full cash refund

In practice it is not that simple as Airbnb statement might suggest. If you try to cancel for C-19 refund a message is sent to owner, you get full refund ONLY if owner agrees.

My booking was for 6 apr. I cancelled 23 march which is 14 days before check in. Unfortunately the property had already taken the payment from my bank account.
