Halifax Share Dealing - fund investment disappeared?

Well in my case the ETF went through no bother, despite my purchase being tiny compared to the limit. I guess since the ETF/ETC trades are semi-automatic they’d have to programme in a limit.
Good news on the fund purchase – it has gone through and is now showing on my valuation.
On the question of buying the ETF vs. a Fund, I guess I should use the ETF if I want to take advantage of a (potentially) short term dip in price. But for long term investment the Fund is probably the better option.

ETF will allow you to (potentially) trade in real time rather than a daily valuation point over which you have zero control.1
