    A very generous council.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Sadly its the people who think Council tax doesn't have to be paid under common law which makes Councils more aggressive in their tax demands.  Thank those numpties on facebook :)

Quite, I think it's unrealistic to expect councils' systems to be sophisticated enough to adjust their tone in accordance with how long ago the demand was originally issued. Don't take it personally!

I have the funds to pay.
Then everything else beyond that does not matter, to me anyway.

Oh come on, do you live in the real world or not?
The whole country hasn't been putting things aside, hence why we all need the government to pay our bills, including businesses.

We have two certainties in life. We are all going to die and we will all pay taxes.
We all know we have to pay Council Tax and if I had not received the bill within a month, I would have been on to them straightaway.

We did (when we moved in), the issue was that the property was awaiting assessment for Council Tax, hence why the bill had not been issued sooner.
I sent an e-mail outlining my proposed payment plan and made the first instalment whilst awaiting a response (with debts it makes it easier to show you are committed) and the other 3 payments are setup so they will be made on time.
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.
