I am one of the many people that is not at home and has no documents with them as I was out of the area before the lockdown and havn't ben able to return home. I have my passport scanned in on my computer and I previously had to sign up for the identity programme 3 years ago and did this through the post office. Each time I've tried accessing the post office website and using the original log in and pasword, I'm taken to a near blank screen saying I don't have access to this page and contact the post office. So I tried supplying my identity via another of the companies on the Gov.uk website and the only one available was Digidentity. They want the barcode on the passport scanned in and I don't have the passport at hand, and it won't work from a scan on my computer. The only other option it says it to arrange an appointment in the jobcentre and to take my ID but this isn't possible. It's an absolute joke...what is one supposed to do now?

It might be worth contacting the Job Centre and asking if there's any other way to prove your identity.
Lawyer in training, but I am not legally qualified yet.0 -
My partner couldn't verify his identity due to having an out of date passport and no photocard driving licence. When i was filling in this part there was the option of not being able to verify online so i beleive they do this over the phone.0

You can post a note in your journal saying you are having problems and asking DWP to ring you and do a biographical check.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
